Useful Phone Numbers

Call before you dig

Underground lines, both on and off our properties, can be easily damaged by digging equipment. To ensure personal and community safety, all area utilities work with a free "line locator" service to help us spot utility lines before we dig. In our area, the number to call for this service is 800-432-4770.

Potholes

Potholes can lead to significant road erosion and damage cars -- not to mention the annoyance of another bump in the road. The county actively maintains potholes to fill within days of learning about them. Anyone may call to give the address of a pothole, so please call as soon as you notice one: 850-937-2120.

Trash pick up

The ECUA does a good job in our area of regular trash pickup. There are actually four trucks that come through our area each pickup day, so no call is necessary for these four types of items (put within 3 feet of curbside, not in the street, with at least 3 feet of clearance between each type of item):
     1) regular trash (green containers)
     2) recycle (grey containers or green with gray lid)
     3) yard waste (never in the street -- it washes into storm drains in heavy rain)
            - put in paper bags when possible
            - bind sticks and limbs with twine
            - pile limbs in up to two 6 x 6 foot piles (cut to max. 6' length)
     4) large items like chairs, sofas, and appliances are bulk waste.

Bulk Waste Pick-Up Became a 'Call-For-Pick-    Up' Service on July 1st, 2023. For more information visit their website:  https://ecua.fl.gov/services/sanitation-services

However, cardboard boxes require another truck. These must be broken down flat and spaced at the curb but away from other pick up items. To schedule a box pick up, call 850-476-0480. For all other sanitation service questions, call 850-435-1890.

Trash recycling

The ECUA privides a good recycling program that is part of our weekly trash pick up. For more info or to sign up, go to LiveGreenECUA.com

Animal control

We love our pets, but occasionally there may be a real stray in the area. It is best first to post a photo on the LC Facebook group page to see if someone's pet has gotten out of their yard. If you need to call Animal Control, their number is 850-595-0097.

Street light out

If you see a street light not working properly, report it https://www.fpl.com/northwest/my-account/streetlight-outage#streetLightSearch or call 1-800-225-5797
